It is a gathering of likeminded people.  Its an idea to work in harmony with the society.  Its symphony of open hearts.  There is a saying in our mother tongue ‘Telugu’ – ‘Paropakaram Idam Sareeram’  which means the life is meant for the service of the others. Though we are not so great to spend our whole lives in the service, we are the human who cannot neglect the society in which we born.

When ever we move, most oftenly we come across many a incident, which awaken our thoughts and hearts.  The people seemed to be helpless, a little bit of support can make them self sufficient and overcome their helplessness.  But we know that non of us are as strong as we.  So we were planning to form a group of people.  Like minds think alike.  The same thought resonated in the hearts of 32 citizens of our Tenali town.  Who belong to diversified professions.

Some learnt friends took initiation to gather them on a common platform and views  were exchanged.  When it is decided to serve community we had two options infront of us.  One is to work independently and the other was to work in association with an established organization.  When we choosed second option as a better one.  None other than Rotary International flashed in our minds.  Right at the moment we submitted ourselves to Rotary International, the noble cause, and decided to start a club at Tenali with the title “Rotary club of Tenali Vykuntapuram”.
V I S I O N :
  1. Rotary Club of Tenali Vykuntapuram was lunched with clear vision
  2. Beside the guidelines of Rotary International, is has its own agenda to fulfill the needs of local people.
  3. The no. of vehicles are increasing with the increasing population and in proportion the accidents too. In such case, the primary requirement is blood. For any major surgery blood is damnly needed. Due to failure in providing it, in time, we are loosing the people around us. To avoid that our club has taken a major step to form blood bank in Tenali, Guntur District, of Andhra Pradesh.
  4. We strongly believe in the fact that both education and health are two major sectors on which we have to concentrate. Hence, we constantly interact with the students of rural areas to promote their inmate abilities, to inculcate leadership qualities and to discover the future citizens of India.
  5. Regarding public health. Health camps are to be conducted at various corners of our area. Here, still we have unnumbered villages far away from medical facilities. Our club is conducting medical and health camps frequently for the diagnosis and remedial measures.
  6. Our club has a deep vision for the old age people. It’s very unfortunate the parents seem to be a burden for their grown children’s. Our club wants to extend a cool look and warm hand shake for them by establishing a home for aged.
  7. Its shame on humanity that the children, who are to be in their studies and play, are involved in work. Our club wants to fight against childhood and for them our club wishes to establish a rehabilitation centre or orphanage.
  8. Our club wishes to adopt a village which is at the remote corner and thrown away geographically and to provide them the infrastructure for a better living. We want to be responsible for overall development from education of the children to health of the old age people.
